UFO tracks Iranian missiles

A UFO streaks through the sky in this astonishing video of the Iranians test firing a controversial missile.
The mystery object zooms unseen through Iran's airspace — before splitting a cloud in two as the film focuses in on the soaring rocket.
A UFO expert today described the unknown craft — which appears to be tracking the weapon — as "phenomenal".
Iran launched two short-range missiles last Saturday — angering the West and Israel.
A US report on Fox News revealed the UFO in footage of the second launch.
The video shows the Shahab-3 rocket soaring into the sky.
But after 38 seconds a nearby cloud is mysteriously torn in two by a flying object travelling at speed.
Nick Pope, a respected former UFO analyst for the Ministry of Defence, examined the remarkable footage.
He hinted that whatever ripped through the cloud was not man made.
He said: "One theory is that it's a secret American drone. At any time there are prototype aircraft and drones being operated that won't be shown in public for years.
"Stealth aircraft flew for many years before their existence was acknowledged.
"But the speed and acceleration seems phenomenal. I'm not convinced we've got anything capable of such manoeuvres
Plumber with shattered arm left horrifically bent out of shape has operation 'cancelled four times'

A plumber whose arm was left twisted grotesquely out of shape in an accident ten months ago has had an operation to correct it 'cancelled four times'.
Torron Eeles, 50, has been left unable to work since falling down the stairs and now fears he may lose his home after being denied incapacity benefit.
The father-of-three today hit out at the NHS for the 'unacceptable delays', but East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust said Mr Eeles had his operation cancelled on 'only' two occasions on clinical safety grounds.
His left arm has hung limply by his side since he fractured the humerus bone in December 2008.
Mr Eeles, from Welham Green, Hertfordshire, applied for employment and support allowance but a doctor ruled he is ineligible for both because he can turn on a tap.

'Unacceptable': Torron Eeles has been left unable to work since falling down the stairs and now fears he may lose his home after being denied incapacity benefit
He said: 'This whole situation is absolutely disgusting. I have never heard of anyone else having a broken arm for ten months.
'It's been so long the bones have knitted back together. Sleeping is really uncomfortable because whenever I roll over my arm gets in the way.
'I'm a kitchen fitter and plumber by trade but I can't even slice a loaf of bread let alone work.
'This has been going on and on and it's a complete nightmare.'
Mr Eeles fractured his arm on December 3 and was rushed straight to casualty where doctors put his arm in plaster.
But within a few weeks a specialist said the bones were too far apart and that surgeons would have to insert a metal plate because there was too much movement in the arm.
Mr Eeles claims his first two operations at the Queen Elizabeth II hospital in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, were cancelled due to a lack of beds and operating time respectively.
His third operation in February was postponed after he was found to have high blood pressure, while the fourth, scheduled for May, was abandoned because of concerns about his smoking.
The plaster was removed from Mr Eeles' arm after three months and he was given a wrist sling, which he branded 'totally useless'.

'Complete nightmare': Mr Eeles claims the NHS has cancelled an operation to correct his grotesquely broken arm 'four times'
He said: 'My arm just flops about but the sling wasn't doing anything. The plaster didn't make a blind bit of difference after a couple of weeks either.
'How the Jobcentre can say I'm fit I don't know. I was on incapacity benefit until a few weeks ago when I went to be assessed by a doctor in Luton.
'He said because I can turn on a tap and I can lift my arm I don't qualify for help.
'Now I'm worried about losing my house. I've got a mortgage on it and there are credit cards debts I'm struggling to pay because I can't work.'
Nick Carver, the chief executive of the East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust, insisted computer records showed the trust had only cancelled two operations and that proceeding with the operations could have put Mr Eeles's life at risk.
Mr Carver said: 'Mr Eeles' operation was cancelled only twice - and then both on clinical safety grounds.
'The first time was back in February when his blood pressure was found to be high.
'As his surgery was not an emergency, our surgeons took the right action in referring Mr Eeles to his GP so his blood pressure could be brought under control.
'His second operation in May 2009 was also cancelled, this time because he had failed to act on our surgeon's advice that Mr Eeles that he should give up smoking.
'In cancelling Mr Eeles' two operation dates, our surgeons were acting on clinical grounds only.
'If they are guilty of anything, then it is of having the best clinical interests of their patients at heart.'
Man murdered daughter, 15, with help from his two brothers in family 'honour killing'

'Honour killing': Tulay Goren's body has never been found
A 15-year-old girl who disappeared 10 years ago was murdered by her father in a so-called "honour killing", a court heard today.
Tulay Goren went missing in January 1999 and her body has never been found, a jury was told.
She was last seen alive at her north London home with her father Mehmet Goren, who was alleged to have killed her later that day, the Old Bailey heard.
Jonathan Laidlaw QC, prosecuting, said: "The circumstances in which Tulay was killed and the background to this murder demonstrate that Mehmet did not act alone in this offence because this was what has become known as an honour killing."
Mr Laidlaw said Tulay was killed "to restore the so-called honour" of the Kurdish family, who originate from Turkey.
He said the murder could not have taken place without the "approval and permission" of Mehmet's older brother Ali Goren, who was the "senior figure" in the family although he was many miles away from London at the time.
Mehmet's brother Cuma, who was "much closer at hand" is also said to have been consulted about the decision.
Mr Laidlaw said it could not be asserted that Cuma was present during the killing but it appeared he was involved in the "clean-up and disposal" of the body.
"In killings such as this, Mehmet's brothers Ali and Cuma shared responsibility with Tulay's father for the maintenance and restoration of the family name and its honour," said Mr Laidlaw.
"As for the concealment of Tulay's body, these men achieved that objective because, even now, 10 years on, the police have not been able to find any trace of Tulay's remains.
"The label 'honour killing' is, in one sense an appalling and an entirely inappropriate way to describe an offence such as this because there is of course nothing honourable at all about the murder of a young woman carried out by members of her own family and the title 'honour killing' is almost to dignify the terrible thing they did."
Mehmet Goren, 49, of Woodford Green, and his brothers, Cuma Goren, 42, of Walthamstow, and Ali Goren, 55, of Walthamstow, deny murdering her on January 7 1999.
They also deny conspiracy to murder her boyfriend, Halil Unal, between May 1998 and February 1999.The court heard that the Goren brothers arrived in Britain in the early 1990s and sought political asylum.
Tulay was 12 when she came to this country and by the time she was 15 had been "assimilated in London life".
Mr Laidlaw said that, like most teenagers, Tulay experienced problems and was often in trouble at school, while there were also problems at home.
Her father gambled and did not appear to have full-time work, he said.
"What ultimately caused the most terrible of problems within this family and was ultimately to lead to Tulay's murder was a relationship she formed in London with a man called Halil Unal," Mr Laidlaw said.
Mr Unal, who was 30, came from a different town in the Kurdish region of Turkey and was brought up as a Sunni Muslim while the Gorens were from the Alevi branch of the faith, jurors heard.
Mr Laidlaw told the court that while they came from places no more than 60 miles apart, a relationship between an Alevi Muslim and a Sunni Muslim "would not have been tolerated".
He said: "Despite their differences in age, Tulay pursued Halil. She clearly loved him.
"Tulay's father was outraged and was filled with a sense that his reputation and that of his family had been destroyed. Halil was viewed in every sense as an unsuitable boyfriend and potential husband."
Mr Laidlaw said that in December 1998, Mehmet beat up Mr Unal, which led to Tulay leaving home and moving in with him.
"On January 6, the family persuaded her to return home where she was held, effectively captive, until the following day.
"On January 7, these men attempted to ensnare Halil by persuading him to come to the family home but Tulay managed to warn him of the trap and his life was saved.
"Tulay was not so fortunate. She was never seen again alive and the prosecution's case is that she was murdered at her home later that same day.
"The body was hidden in the back garden for a short while and removed a week or so later. Tulay Goren's remains have never been recovered."
Although Tulay's boyfriend avoided the earlier trap, he went to a meeting with Mehmet and some community elders on January 20, jurors heard.
Mr Laidlaw said that on the promise of an opportunity to speak to Tulay on the phone, Mehmet persuaded him to come away from the group, and attacked him with a small axe.
He said: "Within the culture of honour killing, women can be killed for the most trivial of reasons."
He said "honour-based murder" had previously been confined to the rural districts of Turkey but had now been brought abroad to cities such as London hundreds of miles away.
Such killings would be decided by a "family council" at which women were not present and were not "spur of the moment" crimes, jurors were told.

A 61 year old man has been sentenced to death for molesting and killing a six year old boy in the US.
And in a first for an American court David Edenfield's son George could follow him to the death chamber.
For he has also been charged with the same murder and awaiting trial.

His wife is expected to face a life sentence after agreeing to give evidence against her husband and son.
Edenfield was sentenced to die after being convicted of strangling Christopher Barrios after luring him into his trailer home in March 2007.
He molested the boy along with his 34-year-old paedophile son.
When Barrios pleaded for his life the pair strangled the boy. The elder Edenfield placed his hands on top of his son's as they throttled the boy.
Peggy Edenfield stood by and watched as her husband and son murdered the youngster and later helped dispose of his body.

District Attorney Stephen Kelley holds up a portrait of Christopher Barrios during his closing argument at David Edenfield's trial
Both mother and son have been charged with murder and will stand trial at a later date.
Mrs Edenfield,58, will be spared the death sentence after agreeing to give evidence for the prosecution.
Jurors in Brunswick, Georgia, took just two hours to decided that David Edenfield should die.
His victim's family were in court to hear the death sentence recommendation.
'He got his justice - Christopher got it today,' said Sue Rodriguez, the boy's grandmother. 'Now we've got two more to go.'
Saudi man sentenced to five years in jail and 1,000 lashes after talking about sex on TV

A Saudi man has been sentenced to five years in jail and 1,000 lashes for bragging about sex on television.
Mazen Abdul-Jawad, who works for the national airline, also faces a ban on travel and talking to the media for five years after his release.
The divorcee told the Bold Red Line talk show how he lost his virginity at 14. He was also filmed in his bedroom showing off blurred sex toys and having a discussion with three other men about what excited them.
Mazen Abdul Jawad discusses in detail his first sexual encounter with a neighbour when he was 14-years-old
Talking about sex publicly is a taboo in ultra-conservative Saudi Arabia, and there were 200 legal complaints after the programme was shown on July 15.
But Abdul-Jawad, dubbed a 'sex braggart' and 'Casanova', claims he was duped by the Lebanese LBC satellite channel which put out the show. He says he was unaware he was being recorded and that the sex toys were provided by the TV station.
He plans to appeal against the ruling.
The other three men on the show were also convicted of discussing sex publicly and sentenced to two years' imprisonment and 300 lashes each. The LBC offices were shut down by the Saudi government.
The kingdom, which is the birthplace of Islam, enforces strict segregation of the sexes. An unrelated couple, for example, can be detained for being alone in the same car or having a cup of coffee in public.
Woman dies after being struck on head by golf ball
October 8, 2009
A woman has died after being struck on the head by a golf ball while playing a practice match.
Janet Llewellyn, 66, from Balloch, Dunbartonshire, was injured at Strathendrick Golf Club in Drymen, Stirlingshire, on October 1.
After receiving treatment from emergency services at the scene, she was airlifted to the Southern General Hospital in Glasgow where she died the next day.
Mrs Llewellyn, who has two grandchildren, was a voluntary worker at the Vale of Leven Hospital in Alexandria, Dunbartonshire. She had spent almost 20 years serving staff and visitors at a shop in the hospital run by the Women's Royal Voluntary Service.
Cathy McGroarty, 79, who lives near Balloch and worked at the shop with Mrs Llewellyn, said: "I can't believe she passed away in such circumstances. It is a total freak accident.
"She was very good at work. She was always so active and full of life and a very nice person to know.”
The golf course was closed for two days after the accident as a mark of respect towards the grandmother.
Mrs Llewellyn and her husband John moved to Plymouth after they were married but returned to Scotland in 1975, settling in Balloch. Her husband died at the Vale of Leven Hospital, where she worked, in 1991.
The couple's son, Richard, 47, who travelled from Northampton to make funeral arrangements, was too upset to comment, but confirmed that is mother had been struck on the head by a golf ball, causing injury.
Ms McGroarty said that Mrs Llewellyn was a "bubbly woman", who "lit up the room".
She said: "I have some great memories of being out with her on Christmas nights out. She was really good fun.
"She loved to play golf and she was always telling people how she was getting on at the course. Any spare time she had when she wasn't volunteering to help others was spent playing golf.
"She did dedicate her life to others and will be very much missed by everyone here."

A 93-year-old retired British nurse had her throat slashed in a brutal murder at her Florida home.
Wheelchair-bound Evelyn Norell may also have been sexually assaulted during the murder, allegedly committed by an odd job man.
Police say the elderly victim was discovered naked from the waist down and lying in a pool of blood, by her granddaughter yesterday.

British pensioner Evelyn Norell (left) was found dead in her retirement home in Florida, and maintenance man Elton Walters has been charged with her murder
Maintenance man Elton Walters, 62, has been charged with first-degree murder.
Walters, of Miami, works at the Images Condos complex, in Pembroke Pines, South Florida, where Norell had reportedly lived alone for more than 10 years.
Detectives are now piecing together the motive behind the shocking killing, which has left the quiet community reeling.
Neighbours say the former registered nurse was 'charming' and loved to talk about her grandchildren.
It is understood that her daughter has now flown to Florida from her home in England. It is not clear whereabouts in Britain the victim hails from.

Pembroke Pines Police Department yesterday held a press conference to release the grim murder details.
They say a witness had spotted a maintenance worker fleeing the scene at around the time Norell was attacked. Walters was picked up by patrols shortly after.
'Mr Walters gave consent to detectives to search his vehicle,' said Sergeant Carlos Bermudez.
'Detectives found a plastic bag inside the vehicle. Inside this was Ms Norell's purse, identification and other stuff. All this was wrapped inside a bloody sheet.'

Walters, who denies the charge, is being held at Broward Main Jail. More charges could follow.
Stunned residents at the apartment complex said the accused killer had always seemed 'nice and polite'.
'He's one of our maintenance guys, and he, like everybody says, he's the friendliest guy in the world,' Ronald Haddaway told Fox News.
'He would always say good morning, or how you doing, and he would talk to you, and he just seemed like the nicest guy.
'Apparently, those are the ones you have to watch out for.'
Nadia Culbreath added: 'I'm shocked because this guy is always riding up and down in his cart.
'He says hello to me all the time.
'I remember one time he told me that I was a beautiful lady and whatever, but he just keeps going, keeping the neighborhood clean.'

The site, which uses the Google Maps engine, shows a map of the world divided into countries.
By clicking on their country, users can zoom in and find the exact spot where they enjoyed carnal relations.
So if – to pick an example at random – they recently made love in an upstairs flat on Hinton Road, Brixton, south London, they could find that address in the Google search bar at the bottom of the screen, and right-click to tell the world.
As well as the simple fact that intercourse took place, users are expected to give some more information, including whether the act was indoor or outdoor.
There are also graphical representations of five possible positions, with tick-boxes next to them so that users can list in detail the ways that they celebrated their affection for one another.
Once a user has added his or her moment of passion, the site prevents them from making another for a realistic 20 minutes.
Looking at the world map, it is immediately noticeable that people make love in some unexpected places. Sex in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean takes place a lot more frequently than might be anticipated.
At the time of writing 11,094 people had informed IJustMadeLove.com that they just made love. An arguably disappointing 804 were from the United Kingdom, compared to 4,409 in the United States.
A mere seven, however, admit to having had sex in Saudi Arabia.
Woman teacher exposed as 'predatory paedophile' who sexually abused young children she followed into public toilets
By Chris Brooke
Last updated at 7:56 AM on 08th October 2009
An apparently respectable woman teacher has been exposed as a 'predatory paedophile' who sexually assaulted children 100 times.
Carole Clarke, 46, has told police that she systematically attacked boys and girls over a 17-year period by following them into public toilets.
The offences were primarily committed against youngsters aged between four and seven and she always acted alone, Grimsby Crown Court was told.
Facing jail: Former teacher Carole Clarke, pictured here in 2006, admitted following children into public toilets to sexually assault them
Clarke, a part-time college tutor, is facing a lengthy jail sentence after pleading guilty to six charges on the day she was due to stand trial.
She has been remanded in custody and will be sentenced on December 14.
Although the assaults dated back to 1992, Clarke was not arrested until January this year when a health worker raised concerns with police.
The exact number of offences and victims is unknown but the court heard how Clarke told police she committed around 100 offences on a small number of children.
She also admitted two counts of indecently assaulting a child during or before June 1992 and three charges of sexually assaulting a girl under 13 during or before August 2008.
One of the sexual assaults occurred in a public toilet in Grimsby's Market Hall, while two others occurred in public toilets in Woodhall Spa. Six other counts of sexual assault, which she denied, will remain on file.
Clarke, who was reported after seeking help from mental health professionals, has been on remand since her arrest in January.
Detective Sergeant Stewart Watson, of Humberside Police, said: 'Predatory paedophiles such as Carole Clarke are rare. There are claims between 5 per cent and 10 per cent of abuse against prepubescent children in the UK is committed by females.
'However, only about 5 per cent are thought to involve a woman acting alone. There are still those members of the public and even experts who ignore women's capacity for sexual abuse.
'Thankfully education is challenging these beliefs.'
Clarke worked as a part-time tutor for adult students at Franklin College in Grimsby between October 2003 and April 2007, and also taught adults from home.
Principal Peter Newcome said: 'She was employed as a part-time tutor for adult learners, teaching English for speakers of another language.
'She taught very much in the open with people around and had no students under the age of 19.'
The case follows the shocking prosecution of nursery worker Vanessa George, 39, who admitted carrying out a string of child sex offences at Bristol Crown Court last week.
Mother-of-two George, who worked at the Little Ted's Nursery in Plymouth, teamed up with Colin Blanchard, 38, and Angela Allen, 39, to form a paedophile ring after meeting on Facebook.
The trio, who had never met until their appearance in court, carried out a series of sex attacks on young children and exchanged sickening images over the internet.
The case caused a national furore because it involved horrific abuse by a woman trusted to care for children.
But the Lucy Faithfull Foundation, a child protection charity which deals with female sex offenders, said up to a fifth of paedophiles are women.
Michele Elliott, director of charity Kidscape, said: 'The reality is women abuse. I think we have to acknowledge it for the sake of the children who are being abused.'
3 Charged With Kansas Teen's Murder Chose to 'Finish Killing Her,' Uncle Says
Wednesday, October 07, 2009

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — A Kansas teenager allegedly murdered by her ex-boyfriend and two others regained consciousness after she was attacked and kidnapped — but the three suspects chose to "finish killing her," her uncle told FOX4KC.
Keighley Alyea, 18, was found dead late Monday in a farm field near Harrisonville, Mo., after disappearing a week earlier.
Alyea's former boyfriend Dustin Hilt, 18; his cousin Joseph Mattox, 18; and his best friend Gerald Calbeck, 18; were charged Tuesday with first-degree murder, aggravated kidnapping and aggravated robbery.
The teen's uncle, Eddie Frentrop, said police told Alyea's father that she was initially attacked in her hometown of Overland Park but woke up after she was abducted, according to FOX4KC.
"Somewhere along the drive out east of Harrisonville, she regained consciousness," Frentrop said. "At that time, they had the option to do the right thing, and they chose to finish killing her."
Alyea's best friend, Jessika Beebe, said she tipped detectives off that Hilt was behind the teenager's disappearance because of the couple's violent, on-again-off-again relationship.
"He's abusive. He's so abusive," Beebe told the station. "All she ever talked about was him beating her. And being scared of him."
Alyea vanished about midnight on Sept. 29. That day, she'd spoken of getting back together with Hilt, her best friend said. Beebe tried to talk her out of it, but said Hilt had gotten Alyea addicted to drugs and she wouldn't listen to her.
Court documents show that Alyea was killed Sept. 30, hours after she disappeared.
District Attorney Steve Howe declined to discuss why or how the victim was killed at a Tuesday news conference.
The three suspects appeared in Johnson County Court Tuesday to face the charges; each is being held on $2 million bond.
Frentrop told the station that a tattoo of Hilt's name will be removed from Alyea's body before she is buried.
